British Red Cross Society nurse's uniform hat. Worn in Dolgellau, 1935-6. Made by Scott & Co. Hatters, London. Navy blue serge cloth. Crown slightly gathered, turned up peak at front. Navy and white ribbed silk hat band. Metal Red Cross badge pinned at front. Mauve artificial silk twill lining, with maker's stamp.
