Dresser with clock in the centre. The whole piece is made of oak, including the clock case which has a swan-neck pediment. The clock's painted dial has the maker's name, 'Mos[es] Evans, LLANGERNIW’ and also the name and date: 'JOHN LLOYD 1797'. The piece was probably commissioned by John Lloyd (1749-1815) of Hafodunnos, Llangernyw, Denbighshire in 1797. He was a laywer and collector of books, manuscripts, maps and scientific instruments. He was MP for Flintshire from 1797-99.
